How it works
How Dupli compares beauty products
An honest look at the signals Dupli uses to surface possible lower-cost alternatives — and what it deliberately avoids claiming.
01
Product identity
Dupli looks at product category, use case, format, and the available product details to understand what you're shopping for. The clearer the input, the stronger the comparison.
02
Ingredient and purpose signals
Ingredient overlap may help compare products, but it does not prove identical performance. Two products with similar ingredients can still feel different on skin or serve a slightly different purpose.
03
Match confidence
Each suggested alternative is labeled as a Strong Match, Good Match, or Possible Match — based on similarity across product type, purpose, and overlap. The confidence label helps you decide what's worth comparing further on the retailer's page.
04
Price and affiliate links
Prices and availability change constantly. Dupli shows price-related signals where possible and may use affiliate links where available. Always confirm the latest price on the retailer's product page before purchasing.
What Dupli is not
- Dupli is not medical advice.
- Dupli does not guarantee a product will work the same for every person.
- Dupli does not claim products have the same formula unless verified by reliable product data.
- Dupli is a comparison tool, not a dermatologist or retailer.
